Winter days are always short in Sweden, but Stockholm has been in darkness during December, we had not even one single hour of sunlight, Sweden’s meteorological institute confirmed this on Thursday.
“The beginning of December was cloudy to say the least,” said Lineas Karlsson, a climatologist at the Swedish Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.
On average, Stockholm has recorded 33 hours of sunshine in December, about one hour per day. The last time Stockholm did not see any sun at all in December was in 1934.
According to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the last time we had sunlight in Stockholm was on November 28th, so more than two weeks ago 😲
